Step 1: Greetings

Step 2: Lead-in

T: Hello, everyone. Welcome to our new class. What about your summer holiday? Can you tell us?

(Ask Ss to introduce their summer holiday. What are they doing in their summer holiday?)

Step 3: Presentation

T: Very good. This is our first class. So I want to know your teachers. Of course, I’m your English teacher, Miss Luo. And then, who is your Chinese teacher?

Ss: Miss …/ Mr.…

T: OK. Is he/she your new teacher?

Ss: Yes. / No.

(If they say “yes”)

T: OK. So I want to know him/her.

T: Is he/ she tall/ strong/ old/ short/ thin/ fat…?

(If they say “no”)

T: OK. Let’s introduce your teacher. What’s he/ she like?
